Grace Maynard
Biography: These videos are taken of me and my dance partner, Joshua Leung (he/him), performing Quickstep and Cha Cha. We are members of the Oregon Dancesport team here at Oregon State University, and we are prepping for a big competition in New York City this December.
Artist Statement: I started doing competitive ballroom last year with the team, having little to no dance experience before this. It is such a pleasure to be able to learn so many different styles and techniques that allow me unlock different sides of my personality into my dances, and what I can do with its musicality. Dance has given me not just confidence on the floor, but also a wonderful and supportive community of many other talented dancers.
