Brandon Stephenson

Biography: My name is Brandon Stephenson and I’m a fourth-year graphic design major! I’m a passionate artist spending most of my time on digital art and have recently been exploring the worlds of 3D modeling and music production. I love physical art and am eager to learn and become a better designer and creative.

Artist Statement: Following the theme of “roots”, my artistic style has begun reflecting the media I grew up with. My love for video games (thanks to my brother) has become an important part of my artistic appreciation and identity. Titles like Dance Dance Revolution, Sonic Adventure Battle 2, Super Monkey Ball, and Smash Bros Melee all stood out to me through the developer’s ability to push through hardware limitations and remain able to express and articulate the unique worlds they’ve created. There’s so much detail crammed within these low-resolution spaces, which is what I want my artwork to reflect.
