PRISM’s new Editor-in-Chief for the 2023-24 school year has a brief statement about her background and goals for the lit mag:
“Hello, everyone! I’m excited to be under your service and responsible for running PRISM for this school year! I’ve always been a creator ever since I was young. My mother would say that I could make anything out of paper, but I’ve worked in just about every conventional art medium there is to a certain extent! I’m always trying out new things and hope to learn more and more about what everyone does in terms of art, both around campus as well as around the rest of the world. I hope that I can push for more awareness on the connection between our general cultures/our specific backgrounds and how that manifests in the art that we create.
“My goals for PRISM this year are to create an interconnected network of creative opportunities from all around campus so that students have easy information and access to the events that they put on! I’d also like to expand your view of what is considered ‘art’, and that’s why this year’s print issue will be emphasizing unconventional forms of art! Let’s all work together to become more connected and create more sparkling works of expression!”
