Art Feature: “Brutus” by Olivia O’Halloran

Brutus by Olivia O’Halloran. Digital.

Biography: Hello, my name is Olivia, and I am from Damascus, OR. I am a third-year mechanical engineering major with a minor in Aerospace. I primarily draw digital art, but I started out mostly with alcohol markers and dabbled in watercolor. Besides drawing, I love playing tennis, watching cheesy Sci-Fi, and occasionally playing my Alto saxophone.

Artist Statement: My art commonly portrays themes of elegance and strength because that is what I admire. My style utilizes sharp lines and harsh shadows; I feel as if it shows that every aspect of a piece is intentional. There is also something to be said about a well-fitted suit, the creases of a face, or the minute details of a background that are just so enchanting.
